2013 New York Auto Show - 2014 Scion tC and Scion 10 Series Debut

As many of you know, for as long as Scion has been around, the New York Auto Show has been an important venue for us.  It was here in 2002 that Toyota unveiled the first concept vehicle destined for Scion – the bbX – while at the same time announcing the birth of the Scion brand.  New York was also the site for reveals of influential concepts like the t2B, Fuse, and FR-S, as well as production versions of tC and iQ.

Toyota Recognizes Top North American Suppliers for 2012

OTICS USA, Inc., TAIHO MANUFACTURING OF TENNESSEE, LLC, Mitchell Plastics and TG Missouri Corporation earned top recognition from Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc., (TEMA) at its annual supplier business meeting.  The awards recognize suppliers who exceeded the company’s expectations in several categories.

OTICS USA, Inc., located in Morristown, Tenn.; TAIHO MANUFACTURING OF TENNESSEE, LLC, in Gordonsville, Tenn.; Mitchell Plastics in Huntsville, Ala.; and TG Missouri Corporation in Perryville, Mo., all received TEMA’s Superior Award for 2012 performance.

Drivers Announced For ‘Revved Up to Race’ 2013 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race

The red carpet and race cars are ready as Toyota announced today the participants from film, television, music, sports and the military who will compete for checkered flag glory in the 2013 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race.  The 37th annual charity race will take placeApril 20 on the 1.97-mile street course in downtown Long Beach, Calif., as part of the 39th Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Toyota Unveils New Donations to Aid in Hurricane Sandy Recovery Efforts

Four months from the day the storm made landfall in the Northeast, the company donated the use of 19 Toyota vehicles to the region’s Red Cross to support relief transportation for one full year. Additionally, Toyota is giving a brand-new 4Runner SUV to Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church in Bay Head, N.J., to aid in transportation and local cleanup. These contributions are in addition to a $1 million donation made by the company to support Sandy relief efforts last year, as well as five vehicles donated at that time.
