TORRANCE, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2013)– Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A.,
Inc., today reported November 2013 sales results of 178,044 units, an
increase of 5.9 percent over November 2012 on a daily selling rate (DSR)
basis. On a raw-volume basis, unadjusted for 26 selling days in
November 2013 versus 25 selling days in November 2012, TMS sales
increased 10.1 percent from year-ago month.

Toyota Debuts Driver Awareness Research Vehicle at Los Angeles Auto Show
Los Angeles, Calif. (November 20, 2013) – What if we could reduce
driver distraction before ever putting a key in the ignition? That’s the
focus of the Driver Awareness Research Vehicle (DAR-V) that Toyota
unveiled at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show today.
“At Toyota, our focus is not only on protecting people in case of an accident, but also on preventing that accident from happening in the first place,” said Chuck Gulash, Director of Toyota’s Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC). “While the auto industry will never eliminate every potential driver distraction, we can develop new ways to keep driver attention and awareness where it needs to be – on the road ahead.”

Happy Trails, FJ Cruiser
It’s finally here…and then it’s gone. Toyota today unveiled the
2014 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition at a press conference held
at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
The 2014 Trail Teams Ultimate Edition is a commemorative final special edition of the FJ Cruiser. It is the toughest and most capable FJ ever and pays tribute to the iconic vehicle that will end its production run at the conclusion of the 2014 model year. With limited production, only 2,500 will be built.

in pediatric medicine, and Toyota announced today the first annual
National Buckle Up for Life Day - a nationwide movement
dedicated to improving child passenger safety. In recognition of Child
Passenger Safety Week (September 15-21, 2013), the partnership will

Toyota Is Going Places with Ximena Sariñana
Latino music fans can get the inside scoop on the 2013 Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco, thanks to Toyota and Latin pop music star Ximena Sariñana.
Toyota will be there every step of the way, with Ms. Sariñana
chronicling the event in a week-long social media series centered on
music and culture.
Dubbed “Música y Destinos,” the journey will begin on August 9 with Sariñana travelling from Los Angeles to the iconic festival in a Toyota Prius. Music fans can follow Sariñana on Twitter (@XimenaMusic) as she interviews artists, exhibitors and attendees and comments on all the festival happenings. Hay Farmer from Northern Michigan Heads Development of New 2014 Toyota Tundra Pickup Truck
On farms throughout America, pickup trucks are like a member of the family. Mike Sweers is living the dream of every kid who was raised in farm country: He gets paid to create trucks. Sweers, who still runs an active hay farm in Northern Michigan, has used his mechanical engineering degree, and life experiences as a farmer, to aid him as the chief engineer of Toyota pickup trucks; especially the development of the new 2014 Tundra full-size pickup.

For the third year in a row, Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good philanthropic program will invite the public to select another 100 worthy organizations nationwide that will receive a Toyota vehicle. Beginning July 22, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations can apply online at www.100carsforgood.com explaining how a new vehicle would support their work. Based on individuals’ votes, Toyota will give away two cars per day for 50 days to selected organizations.

mid-size SUV on Saturday, April 27 at 1:15 p.m. PDT at the 2013
Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, Calif., near Palm Springs. The
event marks the automaker’s first-ever public reveal at a major music
festival.

New Drivers Gain Critical Defensive Driving Skills and Confidence Behind the Wheel from Toyota's Teen Safe Driving Program
Toyota continues to offer its free-of-charge safe driving skills
program, Toyota Driving Expectations, and comprehensive online resources
with the goal of reducing motor vehicle crashes, the leading cause of

2013 New York Auto Show - 2014 Scion tC and Scion 10 Series Debut
As many of you know, for as long as Scion has been around, the New
York Auto Show has been an important venue for us. It was here in 2002
that Toyota unveiled the first concept vehicle destined for Scion – the
bbX – while at the same time announcing the birth of the Scion brand.
New York was also the site for reveals of influential concepts like the
t2B, Fuse, and FR-S, as well as production versions of tC and iQ.

Toyota Unveils New Donations to Aid in Hurricane Sandy Recovery Efforts
Four months from the day the storm made landfall in the Northeast,
the company donated the use of 19 Toyota vehicles to the region’s Red Cross to support relief transportation for one full year. Additionally, Toyota is giving a brand-new 4Runner SUV to Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church in Bay Head, N.J., to aid in transportation and local cleanup. These contributions are in addition to a $1 million donation made by the company to support Sandy relief efforts last year, as well as five vehicles donated at that time.

Toyota and Cincinnati Children’s to Donate 10,000 Child Car Seats to Families In Need as Part of Child Passenger Safety Education Campaign

production with 1.78 million vehicles manufactured in 2012, up 41
percent from 2011 and surpassing its previous record of 1.72 million in
2007.

debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
