Toyota Is Going Places with Ximena Sariñana

Latino music fans can get the inside scoop on the 2013 Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco, thanks to Toyota and Latin pop music star Ximena Sariñana. Toyota will be there every step of the way, with Ms. Sariñana chronicling the event in a week-long social media series centered on music and culture.

Dubbed “Música y Destinos,” the journey will begin on August 9 with Sariñana travelling from Los Angeles to the iconic festival in a Toyota Prius. Music fans can follow Sariñana on Twitter (@XimenaMusic) as she interviews artists, exhibitors and attendees and comments on all the festival happenings. Some of Sariñana’s curated festival experience will also be highlighted via @ToyotaLatino.

“Partnering with Ximena Sariñana gives our Toyota fans and followers a unique look at the festival through the eyes of this talented, Latin Grammy-nominated artist,” said David Chung, Toyota.

Hay Farmer from Northern Michigan Heads Development of New 2014 Toyota Tundra Pickup Truck

On farms throughout America, pickup trucks are like a member of the family.  Mike Sweers is living the dream of every kid who was raised in farm country: He gets paid to create trucks.  Sweers, who still runs an active hay farm in Northern Michigan, has used his mechanical engineering degree, and life experiences as a farmer, to aid him as the chief engineer of Toyota pickup trucks; especially the development of the new 2014 Tundra full-size pickup.

Third Annual Toyota 100 Cars For Good Program Continues to Impact Nonprofits’ Work

For the third year in a row, Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good philanthropic program will invite the public to select another 100 worthy organizations nationwide that will receive a Toyota vehicle. Beginning July 22, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations can apply online at www.100carsforgood.com explaining how a new vehicle would support their work. Based on individuals’ votes, Toyota will give away two cars per day for 50 days to selected organizations.

Toyota Leads the Future of Mobility Conversation at 2013 Aspen Ideas Festival

Toyota will help advance the national conversation around the future of mobility and advanced technologies such as hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and autonomous cars with its first-time presence at the Aspen Ideas Festival from June 26 to July 2 in Aspen, Colo. Toyota is a presenting underwriter of the ninth annual festival, which will bring together 300 thinkers and leaders from around the country to discuss issues of global importance.

Next Generation Toyota Corolla Unveiled With Extravaganza of Experiential Events

Dramatic sights, sounds and tastes helped introduce the strikingly re-styled 11th generation Toyota Corolla at a packed celebration inside Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. on Thursday night.

More than 750 consumers, journalists and Toyota guests took in a captivating theatrical performance by Fuerza Bruta, fog clouds from celebrity chef Richard Blais’s liquid nitrogen cocktails, and the capstone reveal of the 2014 Corolla lowered from the rafters with a surprise visit from comedian Adam Carolla.

Toyota Partners with EVSC to Improve Annual Collection of 14,000 Netbooks

Janit Market is pleased she can continue teaching her English classes at Central High School with only a brief interruption when student netbooks are collected this year.  She’s also confident that because collections are more efficient, the distribution of netbooks next school year will be much more successful – the goal being to deliver a computer to each student on time.
